How can I print details of the handles?

Why do you not show prices in US Dollars?

Handles Direct is a UK based company and we deal in Sterling (UKP). Every country could complain that we don't display prices in their own currency but luckily only one does! Visit http://www.xe.netg/ucc/ to find the 'Universal Currency Converter' or simply enter 'currency converter' in your favourite search engine to locate an alternative.

Why do you not show all the handles together, rather than by manufacturer?

With already nearly 2000 handles and other items in the catalogue (and many more to be added), to expect someone to download thumbnails of every one would be unreasonable. When time permits, a future development of the site will be to enable you to select door handles by finish. The feedback is very helpful here, letting us know what the customer is really wanting. Please e-mail us if you would like a copy of the entire site on CD in a PDF file to enable you to browse off-line and at leisure.

Why do I keep getting the Feedback form displayed?

The feedback form is displayed when the user leaves the main catalogue (for example, after filling the shopping cart and moving in to the secure area or returning to the entry page or moving to another site) or when the page is 'refreshed' by use of either the Refresh button or the F5 function key. If for whatever reason the Feedback form is displayed before you are ready to fill it in then simply minimise the form and return to it when you have completed your visit. When the Feedback form is displayed, a cookie is stored to prevent it from being automatically displayed again for a few months. However, if you feel the need, you can access the Feedback form from the 'Contact Us' page.

Why can I not order a brochure?

Handles Direct has been designed as an entirely web based company. Production of a paper catalogue containing thousands of products would not only be prohibitively expensive (an expense which would have to be passed on to the customer) but also too large to be logistically possible. An e-mail or telephone call to Handles Direct will usually produce pointers as to where you might find what you are looking for. The Search facility should return a list of links to suitable items (although currently without an image).

Why do pages sometimes take a long time to download?

The site is hosted on very fast servers in the UK and under normal circumstances, page download is impressively swift. On occasions, due to network traffic, bottlenecks beyond the control of either Handles Direct or the site host occur (this afflicts every other site too). More often than not, the download speed is determined by the Internet Service Provider (ISP) and the bandwidth available between the many servers that the information you have requested has to go through, before landing on your desktop. Pages with a lot of images to download will obviously take longer to download than others and this is one of the reasons why the handles are displayed by manufacturer (see above).

Why are your products so expensive?

Some are expensive but many are not. Many items are priced below what might be found in your local DIY superstore. Other items are of far superior quality than you might find elsewhere but still competitively priced. Of course many of the 'Designer' handles are expensive! Not many of us can (or would even want to) afford to fit out their house with Fusital's Fujiyama door handles at £227.95/pair and quite frankly, we don't expect to be selling those by the lorry load! However, with General Hardware starting at a little over £1, cabinet handles at £2 and door handles at £15, we believe we offer great value for top quality hardware - hardware that is generally unavailable to the general public at ANY price. Just keep one thing in mind - WE DON'T SELL RUBBISH!
